Image Tools

Resize, compress, convert, and edit images without uploading them anywhere.

Most everyday image edits — resizing a photo for a website, converting a screenshot to a smaller format, cropping out a background, or compressing a file before uploading it somewhere with a size limit — don't need a full photo editor, just a fast, focused tool. FileKit's image tools handle these common jobs directly in your browser using the HTML Canvas API, so there's no waiting for an upload and no copy of your photo sitting on a server afterward. That matters more than it sounds for personal photos, ID documents, or anything you'd rather not hand to a third party just to resize it.

Frequently asked questions

What image formats are supported?

Most tools support JPG, PNG, and WebP, with dedicated conversion tools for each pair. HEIC (iPhone photos) is also supported for conversion to JPG.

Will compressing or resizing reduce quality?

Resizing and cropping are lossless pixel operations. Compression trades some quality for a smaller file size — you control how much using a quality slider on the Compress Image tool.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No — image processing happens locally using your browser's Canvas API. Your photos never leave your device.
